Lampwork is the art of working with a torch to melt glass and form it into things like beads and sculptures. The name derives from the early days, before people had such things as our modern day torches, and used kerosene lamps to heat the glass to melting temperatures. There are beads still being found from days long gone by, when they were highly prized.
